1: Life Pods- On December 21, 2012 there is a chance that the Earth will experience another polar shift. A "miniature submarine" that's equipped with a solar charger, non perishable nutrition, homing beacon, water purification, and such will become a valued necessity. These need to be installed underground, basically in the back yard. In the event of a polar shift, pretty much everything will get doused with sea water. Some land may eventually dry out, however most will probably remain under the ocean. These are, of course, not a guaranteed method of surviving. However they can greatly improve the odds. After everything "chills out", the hatch can get pulled and the pod will float to the surface. The homing beacon will then activate and being to triangulate its position.
